In 2015, Kendra came to Dress for Success as a part of her process of starting over.
Her life turned upside when she made the decision to leave her abusive partner with only the clothes on their backs, they left to make a new beginning.

I have four children, I’m a single mom and I’m raising my nephew as well. I am full time student, an entrepreneur, work part-time and volunteer as much as I can.
When it came time to meet for the interview, I was nervous, not feeling like I was not dressed properly.

We moved to Saskatchewan in May 2011 and my husband was working as a territory director. We were living our dream! But in November 2012, he was downsized and took work at a local lumber store. We went from a six-figure income to $15 an hour. I was only working part-time, so got a full-time sales job at a local newspaper. Financially, we were struggling and became regulars at the food bank.
